The Crypt blogger assesses the little congressional district on the prairie

Crypt_keeper_2 In his Afternoon Campaign round-up, Josh Kraushaar at The Politico's Crypt blog writes:

"Meanwhile, Rep. Tim Walz (D-Minn.) is probably enjoying the prospect of a protracted battle between two of his leading GOP rivals. The winner of the upcoming GOP district convention will then have to run against Republican state senator Dick Day, who will be continuing the nomination fight all the way until the September 9 primary."

We think the author doesn't quite know what makes Tim Walz tick. From our observations, we'd say he enjoys the prospect of meeting with groups of citizens to talk about their ideas and working together to solve problems. Walz will have two more such meetings with veterans in Rochester and Austin this week, then launch his campaign's neighbor-to-neighbor canvassing effort in which volunteers help find out what's on voters' minds.

But having attended a lot of Walz's meetings and watched the process, we might be a bit biased. We can say that having the crop of GOPeapods to writing about is an enjoyable prospect for a blogger.
