Walz's remarks:
“For years, Senator Wellstone championed legislation that would end discrimination against the most vulnerable in our society – those suffering from mental illness and chemical dependency,” said Walz. “Since then, Republican Congressman Jim Ramstad has lead the charge to do the right and fair thing for the American people.”
. . .“Mental illnesses have a devastating impact on millions of Americans and their families each day. Unfortunately, under most insurance plans, treatment of mental illnesses is not covered at an equal level as other health conditions.”
