Will the circle be unbroken?: Stephanopoulos twits Boehner about slogan

Over at Huffington Post, Jason Linkins notes how the slogan "The Change You Deserve" came full circle for Majority Leader John Boehner on ABC's This Week:

STEPHANOPOULOS: Shouldn't you have seen that coming?

BOEHNER: Listen, I could have used an anti-depressant last week.

Head on over to HuffPo for the video clip and Linkins' punchline. Looks like the new slogan is more memorable than the House Republicans ever dreamed possible. Who would have thought there's such a thing as too much traction?

I watched Boehner on Austin TV and then was able to watch the Jim Webb lay out his credentials and philosophies that would make him the TOP CANDIDATE for VP on Meet the Press.

Did you see that Boehner blamed Minnesota for the problems with SCHIP ?

When asked if they would bring back SCHIP for a vote (as I believe Tom Davis (R-VA) suggested), Boehner said that Minnesota's pool was 88% adults and not the children as the program was orginally supposed to cover. I don't know where Boehner gets his numbers from (maybe Kline and Bachmann told him when they justified their votes against the program.) But, did anybody tell Boehner that Minnesota has a Republican Governor who is in his second term ... which I assume means the Governor had to administer the program. Also, didn't Minnesota's State Legislature just increase the number of people covered under Minnesota Care .... Boehner better take another tranquilizer.

Also, I was disappointed that Stephanopoulos didn't ask him why the Republicans voted Present on the Iraq War funding.

Spineless !
