(Winona, MN) -- Winona County Democrats will hold their 2009 annual banquet on Sunday, March 15 at Westfield Golf Club in Winona. The event begins with a social hour at 5:00 p.m., and dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m. All area Democrats are welcome to attend, to enjoy the company of fellow Democrats and elected officials from across the state. Special guests will be official and unofficial Democratic candidates for Governor in 2010.
Banquet tickets can be purchased through www.winonadfl.org or at the Winona County DFL office, 685 West Fifth St. in Winona. DFL office hours are 2:30 to 5:00 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesdays. Deadline for purchasing tickets is Saturday, February 28th, and tickets are expected to sell out quickly.

Rumor has it that there will be no shortage of DFL gubernatorial candidates, though we're told the organizers are waiting for confirmations on the list. We attended last year's event, and had a great time, though the weather added interest to the drive back.
