Who will replace Day in the senate? A special election must be called within 40 days of a vacancy. So far, press reports indicate that on the Republican side Former Medford mayor Dan Kaiser seeks Senate endorsement and Waseca's Mike Parry seeks endorsement for Senate special election.
Senate district DFLers will be meeting this morning to discuss potential candidates. I'll be talking to friends in the district and will post about the Democratic contender(s) late in the afternoon.
