Mike Parry closed the second quarterly of 2012 with about $30,000 in the bank, compared to primary rival Allen Quist's largely self-funded $165,000 COH and Walz's bursting bank book of over $808,000.

Wow. The West Metro One Percenters have spoken quite loudly with their monetary silence.
They may be venal, but they're not stupid -- they know that anyone going up against Walz is going to get creamed, so they're saving their money for winnable races, like helping Chip Cravaack keep his seat -- which is unfortunately going to be all too easy as the Iron Rangers look to be hopelessly fractured (and Tarryl Clark's parachuting in from St. Cloud isn't helping matters). In the meantime, they are quite happy to see Allen Quist waste his own money on this race, and the local DFL is no doubt quite happy at the prospect of facing Allen Quist.
