8:11 p.m. The polls have closed, and we'll be watching the SOS website for results and social media for other news.
Some numbers to watch: the lowest turnout since 2000 -- and perhaps the lowest ever for a Minnesota primary--was 7.73 percent in 2004. Turnout for the first August primary was 15.5 percent, fueled by the feisty DFL gubernatorial race.
Already, we've tweeted about low turnout in Waseca, Mike Parry's hometown. The New Ulm Journal's Josh Moniz just tweeted:
