Keeping with formalities, First District Republicans endorsed their August 14 primary winner on Saturday night in Mankato, after a fundraising reception with Tom Emmer. While a couple of media outlets previewed the event, as we noted in First District Republicans to seal Quist endorsement with Emmer fundraiser, there was much post-convention coverage.
In the early evening broadcast, Channel 12 CBS/Fox promised more coverage of the second endorsing convention after this teaser with close-up shots of people at the reception, but there's nothing online for the 10 p.m. news.
Fortunately, one of Quist's supporters tweeted a video of dozens of eager supporters rising to endorse his candidacy. Watch it here.
