Bluestem was watching the Debate Minnesota forum in Mankato between Congressman Tim Walz and his Republican challenger Allen Quist while another important debate was taking place elsewhere about the voter restriction amendment.
In Republican Factions Debate MN Voter Restriction Amendment, Mike McIntee of the Uptake notes:
Republicans on both sides of Minnesota’s proposed voter restriction/voter ID constitutional amendment squared off in Maplewood tonight to debate it. Among those debating the amendment were Republican state Representative Mary Kiffmeyer and former Minnesota Governor Arne Carlson. Also on the panel were Carolyn Jackson (MN ACLU) and Minnesota Majority’s Dan McGrath.
