I’ve scored the new ad from the DCCC which has the Republicans’ panties in a bunch. The Repubs are angry and suggesting that the Democrats might be using images of soldiers for political purposes. Their real anger comes from how honest the ad shows the situation in America due to Republican leaders, and how positive things could be with Democratic leadership.
Though why would the Republicans be upset about a soldier in an ad? Uh…..Hasn’t that been Bush and his henchmen’s ruse from the start? Isn’t this the same party which held their Convention in New York City and tried to copyright the 9/11 tragedy? Isn’t this the same party who tries to equate political dissent to treason because we have troops deployed? Hold on I've found a 2004 Bush ad which is almost shameless.*
I got news for the Republicans: The vast majority of the veterans who’re running for office are running on the Democratic ticket. Incumbent Republicans who think sipping coffee in the Green Zone for a few hours makes them war heroes, don’t even come close to measuring up.

The most action Gil Gutknecht ever saw was back in his auctioneer days when the Johnsons and Henslins had a bidding war over an antique cedar chest.
Contrast that with Democrats like the Minnesota 1st district’s own Tim Walz, who served in Italy with his battalion in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, and it’s easy to see who really speaks for our troops.
You’ve been supporting the troops.
Now it’s time to elect one.
Vote Tim Walz!

*Ollie Ox Update: Shameless indeed, given that this was the ad that "cloned" images of the troops (about 47 seconds into the clip).
