There's a long article in today's Albert Lea Tribune about Tim Walz, who was in town for an Education Minnesota professional conference. Lots of interesting information (read the whole article). The reporter closes with this:
If elected, Walz said he will tell people where he stands and will lobby for the things that need to get done.
“What they’re going to see in me is someone who’s not willing to sit on the sidelines,” he said. “I think I would bring a much more proactive style of leadership. What I’m going to do is lobby for the people of this district.”
He said he hopes to bridge the gap between the American people and their government leaders in Washington.
