If the Publicans think bringing McCain to Minnesota will endear military veterans to the campaigns of Pawlenty and Gutknecht, they must not know that some of us remember that McCain and 53 other senators (all Republicans, including Coleman) voted in March to keep corporate tax loopholes instead of increasing funding health care for the Deparment of Veterans Affairs. The 46 Democratic Senators all voted in favor of the VA, but were outnumbered by the 54 Majority Publicans. McCain's 'compromise' with the Executive Branch on permitting torture of prisoners also remains in recent memory.

McCain's Congressional record serves to highlight why it's necessary to change the Majority Party in Washington.
