BREAKING: Gutknecht concedes

We're in the war room in Mankato's Holiday Inn.  The stafff is cheering--"WE WON NOBLES COUNTY!!"

the Star Tribune has called it, Tim Walz announces.

Gil Gutknecht has just called and conceded,.  The passionate Walz team goes berzerk with joy and exhaustion.

Kerry Greeley, Tim Walz's campaign manager is to my right.  "This was a great team effort," she beams.  "We had the right candidate who connected with the people all across the district. We got enough financial help from people across the district mainly in small contributions of under $25,  and  then finally contributors from across the nation funded our efforts.  Finally, we had the best team of volunteers that it''s been my privilege with whom it's been my privilege to work."

"In the state and across the country, the netroots believed in us before anyone else,"  she says.

Speaking of his team, Representative Tim Walz said, "They did everything right, except clean the office."
