This morning's news is dominated by the after effects of the storm. Since most of our readers will have spent the weekend busy with their shovels and snow blowers, we don't feel compelled to digest area reports on that.

Owatonna Farm Bill Discussion Today
Walz will continue to listen to his constituents' ideas about the 2007 Farm Bill in a meeting today in Owatonna:

The meeting is free and open to the public.
Public testimony will be taken at each meeting for an hour and a half in two minute increments. Participants are encouraged to prepare written testimony in addition to their public statement.

Learn how you can be a part of the solution. Congressman Tim Walz will share his perspectives on global warming and update attendees on what is happening in congress in the new session. Dr. Lee Frelich, Director of the University of Minnesota Center for Hardwood Ecology, and J. Drake Hamilton, Science Policy Director of Fresh Energy, will speak about the impacts of global warming on Minnesota's treasured Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness and what action individuals and legislators can take to address them. Booths of local groups will be open before and after the event. Free and open to the public. Sponsored by Minnesota Environmental Partnership.
