Carole Yenter of Preston writes Walz falsely portrays Bush's plan, appealing to her audience to support Bush's Iraq War plans because of 9-11. Post Bulletin subscribers' comments are fairly pointed:

Here we go again...Repeat after me: 1. Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11. 2. Saddam was a bad guy but posed no threat to the US and actually provided much needed secular ballast against wackos like bin Laden. 3. Christians fared better in Saddam's Iraq then they currently do in our erstwhile ally Saudi Arabia. 4. There were no WMDs. 5. Why invade Iraq? Neocons convinced Bush of the threat (likewise Iran right now) Iraq posed to the region. The specifics can't be spelled out for fear of being accused of the unforgivable sin. 6. It is past time to get out of Iraq.167569 - 06/06/2007

Elsewhere in the PB, Jeff Kiger reports that Employee Free Choice Act stirs debate. A flavor:
The NFIB was in Rochester to have Brad Close, its director of federal policy, speak to 15 to 20 members about the issue at a dinner meeting at the restaurant. The group, which has about 14,000 members in the state, is estimated to have between 200 and 300 members in Rochester.
A few feet from him, a small crowd of about 20 to 30 union supporters handed out pamphlets and held up banners for passing cars with a different opinion -- that the bill is a good thing.
Update: The Palm Beach Post and MnPublius look at the AFSCME ads. We had first posted about the ads on June 4. The ad is running on stations in Mankato and Rochester.
