The Red Wing Republican Eagle reported on a dust-up over an over-limit contribution to Pfielsticker's campaign, which was returned. The candidates' reports themselves are available here at the state Campaign Finance and Public Disclosure Board.
We were surprised by Wes Moreland's failure to register his committee name with the Campaign Finance board. For all the conservative blogosphere's bluster about Mr. Moreland's deep support among district Democrats, his failure to register the committee's name, to file an affidavit of contribution, to return an economic interest statement, and to report pre-primary spending speak to the quixotic nature of his campaign.
Here's more about these items and why they matter. According to a July 3 news article in the Winona Daily News, Moreland had filed by that date. According the chart, the deadlines for several items due from Moreland have passed.
