Mankato's CBS afflilate reports on yesterday's meeting about early childhood education in St. Peter in Promoting Early Childhood Education:
Educational leaders, community members and state leaders all gathered in St. Peter today for a roundtable discussion hosted by the Minnesota Early childhood initiative.Senator Kath Sheran and Representative Tim Walz were among the attendees.
The purpose of the discussion is to bring awareness to potential programs and initiatives that can help further the development of children in our area. definitely proven that the more money and time you spend on a child of the early age that you will be spending less on them as they become our future adults in the community.
One project the Minnesota early child hood initiative is already moving forward on is the opening of a non-profit daycare in St. Peter.
There's video at the site as well. We'll have more posts later this afternoon tomorrow on the forum in LaCrescent, rural health care, and the NRCC's blogging project.
