The Rochester Post Bulletin reports on yesterday's forum. Like BSP, the paper estimates attendence in the 70s. Staff writer Matt Russell cites several audience members:
Jay Youmans of Rochester called Walz's openness in holding the forum "a breath of fresh air."
"I have never seen this country in so much trouble and hated by so many people," Youmans said during the forum. "Please help us get out of this mess."
Dennis Dekeyrel of Harmony, 64, said Walz did an excellent job at the forum, although he wished he would have talked more about the issue of Iraqi oil. At the same time, Dekeyrel was surprised by the lack of people speaking in favor of the war at the forum.
Walz said he plans to hold more forums to discuss the war in the future. In the meantime, he told people their opinions matter, urging them to call his office about Iraq.
