A couple of letters in the morning papers about the hot button issues of property rights and impeachment.
In the Winona Daily News, reader Earl Ostrander writes Clean Water Act is a rights’ grab. Ostrander urges Walz to protect homeowners and landowners against the bill. Walz aired his views on the legislation at the Farm Bureau convention last weekend according to Congress needs to act on new farm bill, an article in the Bemidji Pioneer.
Further south in Fillmore County, former legislator and sheriff Neil Haugerud writes that If [he] were a true patriot, he'd be marching in the street with placards calling for President Bush's impeachment and asking Tim Walz to caucus with the Republican Party so a real Democrat could be elected. The Republican Party disagrees.
