With super delegate Tim Walz's endorsement of Barack Obama, the pressure is on for Minnesota's other undecided super delegates. WCCO's Pat Kessler interviewed Greater Minnesota DNC member Nancy Larson in Candidates Work Hard To Win Super Delegate Over.
We count Larson as a friend and so we sprang into action over this bit:
"This year, evenly divided Democrats may be headed to a brokered convention -- focusing super attention on unpledged Super delegates, like Larson got from the Obama campaign.
"Who can I have talk to you? How about George Clooney? Can I have George Clooney talk to you?" Larson recalled from the phone call."
As a confirmed Obamazombie, we called Nancy after reading that. We tried to persuade her to talk to Clooney but we had caught her just as she was pulling into the driveway of her rural Dassel home where her husband Merle was waiting with dinner. We remembered his many contest-winning chili recipes, especially that verde pork concoction, and knew the task was hopeless.
We did our best last night to console George, but woke to find his tracks wandering across the prairies. The snow is blowing hard now. We are worried.
Awesome!!!
Her daughter Melisa caucused with us in Cokato. Told me stories of how Hillary, Bill, Chelsea and Albright had all called Nancy to support Hillary.
Great work once again!
