KEYC reports that yesterday's veterans' forum at the local VFW was well-attended and well received in Veterans Forum Gives Hope and Answers To Vets:
Local veterans now have a better idea of what congressman Tim Walz is doing to support them in Washington... this after a stop at the VFW in Mankato today. Local veterans filled up the hall to listen and discuss issues important to them.Congressman Tim Walz listened to the concerns veteran's have on topics important to them.He also discussed the legislation passed in 2007 and talked about new ideas he plans on pushing in 2008.One World War 2 vet says forums like these help keep veterans in the loop."I think these forums are very good because it helps us veterans know what's going on and when we should apply for things."Congressman Walz will hold other veteran's forums during the month of March in New Ulm and Waseca.
There's video, too.
