We grow daily more concerned about the well-being of the Olmsted County RPM. First there was the problem of lost or destroyed paperwork for $13,000+ in 2007 contributions. Now it seems as if Southern Minnesota's most beloved conservative blogger (an Olmsted County Republican activist) can no long remember the location of the committee's office.
He snarks this morning in a post about Davis's press conference with Tom Cole today:
Where: 1530 Greenview Drive SW, across from the Pump'n'Munch station (NOT in the GOP office as misreported - surprise, surprise - by Walz's bought-and-paid-for Bluestem Prairie blog)
Poor Mr. da Silva doesn't tell his readers know that 1530 Greenview Drive SW is the address for the Olmsted County RPM, according to its own website.
Mr. Da Silva is also experiencing difficulties today with basic HTML code. Given that his link to Bluestem Prairie doesn't work, his misled readers won't be able to learn directly that this is what we posted:
Oh boy! Political Party reports that Smiling Tom Cole and Brian Davis will be holding a press conference in Rochester about energy issues:
Brian Davis will take up a similar theme on Thursday when he and Rep. Tom Cole, chairman of the National Republican Congressional Committee, hold a press conference at the Olmsted County Republican headquarters.
We quoted the Rochester Post Bulletin's blog, Political Party and linked
to it. Perhaps Mr. daSilva believes that the Post Bulletin is bought
and paid for by Congressman Walz, but that idea would make a cat laugh
(not to mention the PB's political reporters Matt Stolle and Ed Felker).
We find the poor man's vapors about Bluestem Prairie's proprietorship and funding to be intensely
silly accusations. Hundreds of thousands of Americans blog about
politics on personal sites like BSP without being paid to do so,
motivated by love of country and concern for its citizens; we are among
that multitude. Barring any evidence to the contrary, we assume the
same is true for Mr. daSilva.
It is our understanding that Mr. daSilva has been on the executive board of the Olmsted County RPM in the recent past, if not this year. We know they're have some paperwork problems down there, but seriously folks, please teach Mr. Silva to remember the address in case he wanders off again.
Were we more cynical than our bovine nature allows, we might think that the beloved blogger's bringing up the gas station across the street from 1530 Greenview SW in Rochester, Minnesota, was a defensive reaction to Congressman Walz meeting yesterday at a gas station with the owner and other small business owners.
How lame can they get, really?
They are going so deep into cognitive-dissonance land that they can't see how they're losing the last of their rational followers. The lies are getting to be too much for all but the silliest to swallow.
