One thing we've been seeing across rural Minnesota are DFL offices opening in small towns. A letter in the Albert Lea Tribune notes DFL Party sets up shop in downtown Albert Lea:
Roselyn and I were invited to the National Security Town Hall Meeting in Rochester on Sunday, Sept. 21, at the Mayo Civic Center.
The speakers were Rep. Ellen Tauscher, D-Calif., chairwoman of the House Strategic Forces Subcommittee, U.S. Army Maj. Gen. Paul Eaton (retired), former Ambassador Robert Gelbard, U.S. Rep. Tim Walz, D-Minn. and U.S. Rep. Betty McCollum, D-Minn. C. Scott Cooper was the emcee.
They explained that Barack Obama has a strategy to get us out of this war responsibly and to get our country back on the right track. The hotel that was bombed last week was the one that our diplomats used to stay at. Ms. Tauscher was there two weeks ago and was warned not to stay at that hotel.
We all need to talk to our friends, neighbors and relatives to have them back Barack and get our country going in the right direction
We finally were able to buy some Obama yard signs at the DFL office in Rochester, so you can pick them up at our Freeborn County headquarters at 400 College St. across the street from the courthouse from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. for the time being. The phone numbers of the headquarters are 552-1459, 552-1460 and 552-1461.
