NOW UPDATED WITH REVEALING PHOTO!
Loyal readers of Bluestem Prairie report that Merle Larson, spouse of DNC member Nancy Larson, won the Senate Districts 29 and 30 DFL Chili Cook-off in Rochester early this evening. In the divisions, Elaine Mayer won the vegetarian. Jason Askelin, the hot category and Liz McLoone, the mild category.
McLoone's secret ingredient was bacon hamburger from the Waseca meat market, the activist admitted on her Facebook page.
Reached by phone, Mr. Larson admitted that his win was accompanied by charges of carpetbagging, since the long-time Meeker County Chili Champion drove a few hours south to claim the SD 29 & 30 chili crown. Rumor has it that a certain labor leader may demand a recount.
Developing. . . .
Last year, Bluestem Prairie reported on the impact of Larson's cooking in our post George Clooney's Greater Minnesota heartbreak: from supermodels to super delegate.

Another democrat exposed! Keep up the good work Micha... oops wrong blog.
Ollie says: We're happy to expose great cooks and good times whenever possible. The public needs to know about the great cooks and events sponsored by SD 29 and 30 DFlers!
