McLeod County Chronicle endorses Hal Kimball in SD 18 Open

Congratulations to Hal Kimball for the endorsemen t from the McLeod County Chronicle:

Senate District 18

We like both Republican Scott Newman and DFLer Hal Kimball. Newman's solid GOP credentials are appealing, but we like Kimball's references to State Sen. Steve Dille's approach of working both sides of the legislative aisle.

Besides, Kimball touts being a fiscal conservative, which is a plus. We feel Kimball could be more effective as a majority member of the House than Newman would be as a minority member.

The Chronicle's nod is to Kimball.
