Reading over today's Journal of the House, I spotted this bill (emphasis added):
Dill and Hackbarth introduced:
H. F. No. 620, A bill for an act relating to game and fish; allowing use of a drum while baiting bear; proposing coding for new law in Minnesota Statutes, chapter 97B.
The bill was read for the first time and referred to the Committee on Environment, Energy and Natural Resources Policy and Finance.
While using drums while baiting bears won't create jobs or demonize vulnerable people, Stephen Colbert should be happy.
Note: This bear baiting is using bait in steel drums to attract bears, rather than the cruel practice of "bear baiting" with dogs.
