Yesterday, Bluestem noted that Scott Newman wasn't talking to Minnpost about his peculiar bill related to nonprofits.
The Hutchinson Leader now reports that constituents who wish meet with him can schedule a meeting in his district, one on one:
State Sen. Scott Newman will meet one-on-one with constituents in Hutchinson Saturday.
Newman will host office hours from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Hutchinson Chamber of Commerce office, 2 Main St.
He’s asking Senate District 18 residents to schedule appointments by calling his legislative assistant, Aly Gunstrom, at 651-296-5246 begin_of_the_skype_highlighting 651-296-5246 end_of_the_skype_highlighting or e-mailing her at [email protected]. He’ll also see people without an appointment on a first-come, first-served basis.
Earlier Saturday, Newman will host similar office hours in Annandale, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the Annandale City Center.
It's not a town hall, but it's something. Perhaps those with questions about this move can go ask him, one at a time.
