Former Bachmann Chief of Staff Andy Parrish has mostly come a long way from the days when he cavorted with midgets at oil-wrestling contests. Last week found him and Minnesotans for Marriage communications honcho Chuck Darrell visiting the offices of the Fergus Falls Daily Journal.
Parrish now serves as deputy director for Minnesotans for Marriage.
While visiting the FFDJ office on East Channing, Darrell Parrish's lips deposited a few pearls of wisdom. Bluestem's favs from Pair take to the road to define marriage:
And though Darrell was wary about legislation regarding civil unions, he noted that the amendment only defines marriage and does not outlaw any homosexual activity, civil unions or benefits that could be awarded legislatively.
“If two people want to love each other, I’m OK with that,” he said, later adding, “This is not anti-gay.”
However, they were clear in their belief that bringing homosexuality into marriage is not natural.
“You can’t ban something that doesn’t exist anyway,” said Parrish of the term “gay marriage.”
Because denying that that same-sex marriage is legal in six states, Washington DC, and ten nations is so not anti-gay. It's a special form of a special form of Tinkebellism: Clap your hands! Clap your hands and say, "I don't believe in gay marriage!"
