I'm working on a "purity pledge" for the Republican Party. It is based upon the purity pledges taken by 16 year old girls a few years back. We all know those worked out...the pledges made the parents proud and happy!

As someone who was closely involved with that 2002 campaign, we were accused of being complicit in that mailing. We had nothing to do with it and were as shocked as everyone one else was when it appeared. It was a terrible move by the state DFL and they were pretty much uncaring about our objections after it appeared.

Right, Mike. It was the DFL House Caucus that did this, not the candidate. The House Caucus was responsible for other misfiring IE last minute mailings that year, including some incredibly boneheaded attacks on Ray Cox in the Northfield area.
