The interview below offers the usual serving of red meat to the Quistian conservative base, but one thing Bluestem hadn't heard before is Quist's harsh on Speaker Boehner.
Asked for criticism of the contemporary Republican Party, Quist says beginning at the 34:14 mark:
Quist: Well, I think Boehner is a very weak leader. . .I don't care what the issue is. I think . . .we need a much stronger leader. Don't ask me who that is, because I don't know. Some have suggested Congressman Issa . . .That might be, I like the work that he's done but I don't know enough to know that. . .

In this video, our editorial board along with political reporter Mark Fischenich spend an hour interviewing Quist on a range of topics.
Is Quist's candidness a product of the impossible dream of beating Walz? Certainly Boehner and the NRCC doesn't seem to have invested much in the race. Draw your own conclusions.
At the 46:26 point, Quist explains why Obamacare contains what is in his view a deliberate plan to destroy marriage.
