Editor's note: This isn't an accurate account. Although his article was held for the Sunday paper, Helgeson interviewed Koch first, before the accident, while Brucato talked to Koch following the crash. Nor is Brucato currently paid by the GOP or any GOP official.

Cyndy Brucato with MinnPost was given the inside and early track on this story. I've noticed that Brucato serves as the Minnesota Republican PR director/mouthpiece for MinnPost. Thanks for reminding me that this is the second related story that Brucato did on Koch. I keep wondering "Why is this being pushed at this time?"

By the way, I haven't picked out that MinnPost allows a DFL consultant to do the same.
