Bluestem's editor makes no apologies for her love of pro rasslin', the theater of which has helped her understand politics better than any political science class she never took.
Thus it is with some sorrow that we read the article that another fan of the industry sent us: Pro wrestler jailed on sexual misconduct charges:
Longtime pro wrestler and promoter Eugene "Buck" Zumhofe was arrested in Kandiyohi County, Minnesota on Monday and is facing several criminal sexual conduct charges. You can view his mugshot and more details at Kandiyohi.mn.us/depts/Sheriff/SO/LETG-Reports/custody/custody.html.
Looking at the alleged charges (and the bail/bond set at $500,000.00 or $100,000.00), it would seem that Zumhofe is in a great deal of trouble.
Zumhofe's Wikipedia entry notes:
Eugene Zumhofe (born March 21, 1951) is a professional wrestler better known as Buck "Rock n' Roll" Zumhofe,[1] wrestling's self-proclaimed original rock and roller. . . .In 2000 Buck opened the Rock & Roll Wrestling promotion. Zumhofe actively promotes his shows around Minnesota, North and South Dakota, Iowa, Wisconsin and Illinois.
He is best known to most Bluestem readers as the promoter of the event mentioned in this City Pages story: Michele Bachmann chief of staff Andy Parrish spotted at oil wrestling event with dwarf.
UPDATE: UPI reports in Iowa sports bar grappling with midget wrestling complaint that Zumhofe's business is being criticized on unrelated matters.

Before I realized the list was in alphabetical order, I got sucked into a tour of Kandiyohi County low-lifery. Thanks a lot!

I'd like to know where the Minnesota authorities were 13 years ago when his other children were trying to get help for the girl(s) he was abusing.
