Bradlee Dean and tons of conservative websites punked by rewrite of Sept. National Report satire

On the Sons of Liberty Radio Facebook page today, Bradlee Dean's crack social media team shared a link to Your Daily Dose of Conservatism's December 8, 2013 post, Obama Administration Announces Nationwide Muslim Outreach Program For Children Grades K-12.

Your Daily Dose of Conservatism borrowed the copy from Pat Dollard's post, which appears to have originated at The Conservative Frontline.

Much of the copy in the Conservative Frontline piece that has conservatives fuming across the web-- 23 SOLR Facebook fans left comments on the radio show's page, while 65 shared it on their own pages--is directly lifted from a late September article on the satrical National Report site, Obama Declares November National Muslim Appreciation Month.

As the Washington Examiner noted two days later in September after the original satire fooled conservative bloggers across the webs: Surprisingly Obama did not declare November National Muslim Appreciation Month.

In early October Bluestem had spotted a version of the National Report satire used as fact in a letter to the editors of the Belle Plaine Herald.

Here's the text from Saturday's Conservative Frontline piece that seemed familiar:

President Obama spoke with reporters to explain why it is so important that these outreach programs exist. “The Muslim community deserves our full understanding and respect,” Obama said. “We have killed millions of Muslims overseas since the September 11th attacks. These folks are not all bad. In fact, most of them are hardworking citizens just like you and me. I encourage every student in America to participate in your school’s Muslim outreach program. Learn about the Muslim community, the beauty of the Sunnah and the magic of the Qur’an.” . . .

Khaled Matei, who is a member of the Muslim Brotherhood‘s Freedom and Justice Party, told CNN he is pleased with Obama and his actions. “I spoke with President Obama by telephone yesterday and personally thanked him for what he is doing for the Muslim community,” Matei said. “This is definitely a step in the right direction I explained to him. Praise Allah.”

In the original copy above, those who called the 785 area code number reached the Westboro Baptist Church in Topeka, Kansas.

Bluestem doesn't think that America's school children need a Muslim Outreach education program. Rather, the older generation needs remedial reading or something. As we noted Saturday in Rochester Tea Party Patriots completely terrified by overused stock photo of angry brown dudes, some folks just want to jump on the truthiness of all articles online from the School of "Anything Scary About Muslims Must Be True."
