At the group's December meetings in Rollingstone Saturday, the Winona County Republican Party will give a thumbs up to City Pages' Blotter coverage of its Facebook page content.
A Constant Comment email message accessible online via the Facebook page notes:
The BPOU Meeting is this Saturday!
We will be having a meeting this Saturday, December 21st.
You have got to make this one, last one of the year. We will be discussing City Pages and their contribution to our organization, we will also talk caucus and convention for next year. Get your butt to Rollingstone!!
Reminder, if you have yet to use your PCR for this year, stop by or e-mail me for instructions. You can give the BPOU a donation and have it refunded by the state ($50 dollars per person), but it must be given this calendar year. Don't leave money on the table. The Dems are using it too.
Stop in and see us for breakfast on Saturday. We may even be joined by some of our legislators to fill us in on the latest developments in St. Paul.
Candidates are starting to show up at these things too. We may see some future Senator or Governor at a meeting. Now is the chance to get to know who they are, not when they are famous.Don't bother with the paper, see it in person. When : Saturday, December 21st, 2013
Where : Bonnie Rae's Cafe' in Rollingstone
When : 7:30 am
It's a great breakfast, change back from a 10, and all the politics you can choke down.
Who can resist that invitation?
City Pages Blotter readers have been choking down the Winona County Republican Party's Facebook page post in articles since November.
November 13 brought Winona County GOP shares doctored image of Michelle Obama with gold grills on Facebook [UPDATE], November 20 Winona County GOP official dismissed concerns about decried Michelle Obama gold grills post, and last Friday's Winona County Republicans share post comparing Hillary to satan.
Having decided to draft a social media policy for county BPOUs and other MNGOP franchises, perhaps Republican Party Chair Keith Downey can put together a media relations kit next.
