When he's not pursuing his lawsuit against the National Security Agency in defense of civil liberties, one of the things Larry Klayman does is sue City Pages and others for posting about allegations raised in an Ohio court.
Our last post about the case, on December 7, 2013, noted how Without prejudice: Klayman's suit against local ink-stained wretches rises again from dismissal.
Klayman came to reporters and bloggers in Minnesota's media because he represented toxic metal preacher Bradlee Dean in an unsuccessful lawsuit to sue Rachel Maddow, MSNBC, the now-defunct Minnesota Independent and Minneapolis reporter Andy Birkey for reporting what Dean said on his radio show.
Now Klayman is fighting back against another motion to dismiss. Among the harm he endured, mockery from bloggers:
Defendants are radical pro-homosexual activists and supporters of the pro-illegal immigration movement and, as a result, sought to punish Plaintiff for his conservative views and legal advocacy of conservative positions by destroying Plaintiff’s reputation, both personally and professionally, while perpetuating their own political agenda. . . .
Moreover, since the publication of Defendants’ defamatory articles, many other internet and written publication have willfully used and published the false and misleading statements, especially publications supporting the radical gay and pro-illegal immigration agenda. SAC ¶9. These publications include, but are not limited to: “Right Wing Watch,” “The Dump Bachmann Blog,” “Wonkette,” “Baltimore Sun Blow,” “People of the American Way” and a host of others. SAC ¶22. . , ,
We've heard Mr. Rupar at the City Pages called many things, but only Larry Klayman insists he's a radical pro-homosexual activist.
Here's the filing:
