After reading Minnesota House District 8B Update: Is Sue Nelson totally self-funding her challenge to Franson?, a sharp-eyed friend pointed out that the web site for the Perham Republican does carry a campaign committee disclosure statement.
nelsonformn.com lists this information in its footer:
Prepared and paid for by Nelson for MN / 45778 375th Street, Perham, MN 56573
That varies from the disclaimer on the bottom of the lit piece her campaign circulated at precinct caucuses last week:
Paid For By The Candidate On Her Own Behalf.
There's still no committee for the Nelson campaign registered with the Minnesota Campaign Finance and Public Disclosure Board.
Perhaps she hasn't spent $750 of her own money yet. There's certainly no "donate" button on her website.
Nor can voters determine who the campaign's chair, treasurer or other volunteers might be, and the holder of the website domain name is concealed via its registration via Domain Privacy Group.
But in the meantime, we've learned from a Facebook meme that she knew how to drive a tractor before she knew how to drive a car. This attribute no doubt qualifies her to serve on the agriculture et al policy committee rather than the one for transportation finance.
