Those who labeled former Douglas County sheriff and current Alexandria-area Republican Senator Bill Ingebrigtsen's objections to SF1641 as "grumpy cat" behavior may not be prepared for the opinion of Bud Nornes (R- Fergus Falls) about the unworkable House "compromise" bill.
The Fergus Falls Daily Journal reports in Ingebrigtsen votes against medical marijuana legalization:
. . .Ingebrigtsen was glad to see . . . changes made to the House bill, but is still hopeful it will not pass.
Rep. Bud Nornes, R-Fergus Falls, believes the bill does have some bipartisan support in the House, but is unsure if it will pass a floor vote. Nornes, like Ingebrigtsen, is opposed to legalizing any form of marijuana at this point.
“I just think there’s too many questions and not enough answers,” Nornes said. “This should wait for another year when we have more time.”
That must mean no.
