Republican gubernatorial challenger Marty Seifert continues to wander around the state, looking for earned media. A recent report in the Albert Lea Tribune, Seifert stops at Albert Lea’s Alliance Benefit Group, includes news that the company is staying put and looking to hire more people:
ABG is always looking to add more employees, she [Mariah Lynne, vice president of client relations] said, but is facing space limitations at its present location at the corner of Clark Street and Newton Avenue.
Despite the higher taxes and regulations in Minnesota, she said she doesn’t think the company would ever move away from Albert Lea because it is rooted here.
“When you’re in a small community, you’re attached to the families,” Lynne said.
Maybe they'll expand and create some construction jobs as well.
