Browsing through photos Republicans in Minnesota's First Congressional District are sharing on Facebook, we're struck at how awkward some GOP "family" gatherings are at Republican booths at county fairs and the parade photos.
The photo above (cropped to remove a mother and child who were just strolling by) illustrates an bit of an awkward moment for endorsed Republican candidate Aaron Miller, whose campaign has been busy touting that the National Republican Congressional Campaign is putting him "On The Radar."
It's good that someone's paying attention, but the NRCC isn't sharing that Miller has to present the photo above without naming the man with the dubious expression on his face that Miller is trying to engage in conversation at the Faribault County Fair.
That's Bob Gunther, as we can see from a photo Faribault County Republicans's Facebook page that the Nicollet County Republicans shared with their fans:
It's awkward, since Representative Bob Gunther (R-Fairmont) is supporting Miller's primary challenger, Mr. Conservative Jim Hagedorn, how might beat Matt Entenza in an aggression match. Here's a recent photo of Hagedorn with some of his supporters:
Tony Cornish, in the lower half, isn't wearing a Hagedorn sticker, unlike Gunther and Senator Julie Rosen (R-Vernon Center). Is that a Marty Seifert for governor sign on the car, peeking out on the right?
Voters will pick between Aaron Miller and Jim Hagedorn in the August 12 primary.
