Republican Illinois Congressman and Morris, Minnesota, native Aaron Schock was in his home town last night for a fundraiser, as Torrey Westrom tweeted in this fabulous photo:
Glad to have @aaronschock at tonight's rally in his hometown of Morris! #mn07 pic.twitter.com/NOamIK1VI5

That's almost as fabulous as the message Aaron Schock tweeted yesterday:
#tbt Getting ready to hit the stage with 60,000 fellow @glblctzn committed to helping the world's poor… http://t.co/SQGNS6U9uj

A Throw Back Thursday to Central Park Park in New York City! We suppose it's hard to keep them down on the farm once they've seen NYC.
If we were active on Instagram, we'd so follow his account
Minnesotans who missed Schock's visit to Morris will have another chance to burn their teal belts and party with the Illinois congressman at Tom Emmer's Happy Hour on Monday.
Here's the invitation
Emmer Invitation 6october2014 Schock-2-2
Photo: Illinois Congressman Aaron Schock (right) at the White House wearing his famous teal belt, which he claimed later via twitter to have burned. We'd have settled simply not to wear it with a hot pink checked shirt, while making sure those white pants didn't see the light of day after Labor Day.

Tom Emmer IS running for the 6th District seat, isn't he?
I notice that this fundraiser begins with drinks in downtown Minneapolis, about 20 miles and 2 Congressional Districts away from his intended area of representation. Followed with dinner at The Capital Grille.
What... the Illinois Congressman and the other moneybags he's attracting to this shindig can't afford to drive out to beautiful Anoka, or Otsego, or Waconia, or Buffalo, or Monticello, or East Bethel, or Forest Lake, or even out to St. Cloud or Sartell, where his opponent Joe Perske lives?
There's got to be at least one Republican-leaning fancy restaurant that serves wine instead of beer and $35-50 steaks in the 6th District, isn't there?
How about planning to serve of the 6th for a while, Tom, before you start re-building your powerbase among the corporate elitists in the Twin Cities.
