Torrey Westrom's television ad may tout "our values. Honest work. Living within your means," but a new filing in the Watonwan County courthouse suggests that there's one plumbing bill that TSI Real Estate LLC hasn't paid, prompting additional action on a mechanics lien on a Madelia apartment building.
TSI Real Estate LLC is the rental housing company owned by Westrom and his wife, according to state and federal economic interest statements required of candidates.
Westrom is challenging veteran Blue Dog Democrat Collin Peterson for Minnesota's Seventh Congressional District seat.
Here's the document, concerning the long past-due bill, sent to Bluestem by a source in Southern Minnesota:
New filing in Vee Plumbing v. TSI Real Estate LLC
Bluestem had first posted about the Watonwan County property in MN07: Income from Torrey Westrom's rental property LLC tops both legal and legislative pay, where we discussed the circumstance of the lien on the apartment building.

Why hasn't the allegedly hyper-liberal StarTribune done an article on this subject? Westrom's district should be in their wheelhouse, if the Strib really is the paper of Minnesota and not just Wayzata and Minnetonka.
For that matter, how could the Strib get scooped by City Pages last week (not ty o mention Huffington Post last year) on a story about the Edina congressman's ties to shady for-profit colleges.
I guess the hyper-liberal people who run the Strib were too busy feeling sorry for poor little rich boy Stewart Mills III to send their reporters out to cover anything that might hurt a Republican's feelings.
