The Mesabi Daily News is reporting that Mark Phillips to head IRRRB. Phillips has served as the state Department of Employment and Economic Development Director, so his appointment is a good fit for the former Virginia, Minnesota, resident.
Further down in the copy, we learn that former one-term state representative Joe Radinovich, who lost a highly-contested race in November's election, has a new job:
There will also be two new administrative appointments at the agency forthcoming — Mary Finnegan-Ongaro, formerly of the Range, as deputy commissioner, and former state Rep. Joe Radinovich of Crosby as assistant commissioner. Radinovich, who was defeated for re-election in November, served on the IRRR Board through December.
A native of the Range, Radinovich should serve the area well.
