A raise to 45,000 from 31,000 originating in 1999 would be right in line with what inflation would dictate. In other words, if their salaries kept pace with inflation, this is where they would be at. Not justifying or decrying the increase, just noting how it came out on the Dept. of Labor's CPI Inflation Calculator.
