It's the Fourth of July and it's hotter than a bag of melted gummy treats outside in lovely Ortonville. Bluestem is headed out to enjoy the pristine waters of Big Stone Lake, and we leave you with National Public Radio's marvelous annual reading of the Declaration of Independence:

Please help support Bluestem Prairie
It's summer, time for another appeal to our readers for support. If you value Bluestem's distinctive discussion of Minnesota politics from a Greater Minnesota progressive prospective, please consider donating to our summer fundraiser.
