On Thursday, Bluestem posted about a Fillmore County Planning and Zoning hearing on change for Rein Frac Sand Mine haul routes.
A Fillmore County resident's report back was sent to us:
We had a lot of people show up and voice their concerns.
It made the board waver for a while after. It took a long time for a motion, but by the time there was a second they had talked themselves into it.
[Fillmore County Commissioner Duane] Bakke was the most level headed, even though he supported it, he made changes including eliminating one alternative route and suggested another look at how much per mile the company would have to pay.
So movement was made.
We'll be on the lookout for more details in zoning board minutes and local media reports as they appear online.
