Minnesota House District 23B Republican primary insurgent Scott Sanders' campaign has sent another postcard featuring a local Republican elected official's support.
Fourth District Blue Earth County Commissioner Will Purvis shares his enthusiasm for Sanders, a county commissioner in nearby Watonwan County, in the postcard above.
Like disgraced former state representative Cornish, Purvis's background is in law enforcement. According to his Linked In profile, Purvis served "Deputy sheriff from 1979 to 2006. 23 years of that spent as a criminal investigator with the last 9 years spent as Captain of Detectives for the Blue Earth County Sheriff's Office."
That being said, Blue Earth County's Will Purvis should not be confused with the other, historical Will Purvis.
We've also heard tell of a radio ad by Cornish for Sanders on a local radio station and will post more about this as we learn more details. At least one yard sign for independent write-in candidate Nicholas Schmitz is up in Vernon Center.
According to his Facebook page, Jeremy Munson will be door knocking in Lake Crystal and Janesville over the weekend.
Bonus: A source tell us this is the only Munson sign in Vernon Center. Nice neighborhood:
According her Facebook page, DFL endorsed candidate Melissa Wagner will be barnstorming with doorknocks and phonebanks this weekend with Congressman Tim Walz. Wagner has been endorsed by the Sierra Club, MAPE, Education Minnesota, and the Minnesota AFL-CIO.
