One can hardly call Rep. Pat Garofalo's latest offensive tweet news. After all, the Farmington Republican simply behaves this way.
Witness our 2014 post, A troll too far: Minnesota ALEC co-chair Rep. Pat Garofalo berated for viral racist sports tweet, written after he equated National Basketball Association talent with street thugs. Lovely.
Up now? This deleted tweet, shared with the world by the Matt McNeil Show:
So @mngop Rep. @PatGarofalo deleted this message. Thank Goodness I have a screenshot! @Marla58b @atrupar @sallyjos @Huffington @JohnFugelsang @StephMillerShow @HumaneSociety @shijundu @thedailybeast @cliffschecter @RawStory @RenaKARE11 @TomButlerFOX9 @StarTribune @GovMarkDayton pic.twitter.com/wgD8rYvSHe

Since this item was tweeted at us, we can't ignore the angry responses (some of whom appear to have taken quite literally the Garofalo crack that he told wee school children that "every time one of their parents voted for a Democrat, somewhere a puppy dies."
The accompanying photo shows what seems to be the lawmaker's new puppy Kira, who seems oblivious to the coming elections in August and November. For whatever reason, Garofalo deleted the tweet, but not before the Matt McNeil Show got ahold of a screengrab and tweeted the image.
All day, our twitter feed has been flaring with these sorts of responses:
He needs psychological help.

Wow! Minnesota was asleep at the wheel when we put @PatGarofalo in office. His careless tweet went unnoticed last election because of confidence in the world and in our fellow man. That confidence is gone and now each election needs scrutiny and due diligence. Go Marla!

Dickweed of the highest order. Hope he gets calls from very angry parents.

As we noted above, it's unlikely Garofalo uttered the last sentence outside the confines of his twitter feed.
At least that's what we're hoping.
Photo: This photo of the Farmington Republican and this cute puppy is at least four years old, so even the most literal-minded of our readers needn't worry about the fate of the little golden lab in Pat Garofalo's clutches.
