We've been remiss in posting in a news-rich environment. Our reasons are simple: winter is coming. The National Weather Service at Aberdeen shares this forecast:
The 1st Winter Storm of the season over central South Dakota Thursday morning. Rain to mix with and transition to snow Thursday afternoon into Thursday night. Snow will continue into Friday. Expect much colder temperatures, and strong northwesterly winds will result in significant blowing snow. Travel will become difficult, to near impossible at times, especially across central South Dakota.
We've been gathering the last vegetables and digging potatoes planted after a late spring. We've brought wood in for the stove which heats our house, and will be snug inside posting as the storm rises. Check back for more sass from Bluestem tomorrow.
