Back in 2014, Bluestem broke the story of Big Stone County GOP chair Jack Whitley in our post In Facebook status, Big Stone Co GOP chair calls Muslims "parasites," writes "frag em" at Mecca.
That led to fairly universal condemnation of the post, as we reported in Jeff Backer's campaign posts Big Stone Co GOP chair resignation news release without comment.
The Whitley account was JackAndGwenWhitley, and now Gwen has returned to public discourse, with a letter of response in the Ortonville Independent to the epistle we wrote about in. Letter to Ortonville Independent: Father shares son's pain at being told "get the f- - - out of here".
Just a reminder of the background and love of country on the part of Mark Lindquist, that son who served "six years in the U.S. Air Force. He was an intelligence analyst with the highest security clearance. His service included service in Kuwait, Afghanistan and at NATO headquarters in Brussels, Belgium":
Here's Gwen Whitley's letter of response, now online at the Ortonville Independent:
Dear Editor:
Concerning the comment in last week’s letter to the editor, “Get the F out of town,” that comment, I’m sure, was not about the color of the mans skin, obviously, he grew up in Ortonville and is well thought of. The comment was about the message “Black Lives Matter” he had on his T-shirt. When you wear and promote a statement like that, expect confrontation!
Black Lives Matter is a Marxist, Hellish, Anti-American, mob. It has nothing to do with skin color. I challenge you all to look it up and read their manifesto. Everywhere they go they raise hell. It doesn’t matter “what it means to me,” it matters what and who they really are!
So men, Stop crying, Stand up! and guard what is left of this country, our town, our homes!
Ortonville, we can do better than This!
Gwen Whitley

She seems nice.
