In today's Minnesota Department of Health's daily COVID-19 Briefing, Michael Osterholm, director of the Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy at the University of Minnesota and a member of President-elect Joe Biden's COVID-19 task force, told everyone to watch state representative Alice Mann's remarks in the special session of the Minnesota House.
Here's the clip:
Mann, who did not seek re-election after one term, is a Brazilian-American who earned her medical degree at Meharry Medical College and her M.P.H, at Johns Hopkins; she is "a Lakeville resident, family doctor in Lakeville and emergency room doctor in Northfield."
The DFL House Caucus retained the District 56B seat in the 2020 general election, with Kaela Berg securing 52.8 percent of the vote over former state representative Roz Peterson, whom Mann had defeated in 2018.
